An Autumn Greeting

"Come," said the Wind to the Leaves one day.

"Come over the meadow and we will play.

Put on your dresses of read and gold.

For summer is gone and the days grow cold."

Me

I'm a girl that loves the little things in life.  I love singing, beauty, art and music. I'm in rock n' roll and produce music festivals and love working from home.  I also love cooking in the kitchen with my sweet guy. We enjoy entertaining and love trying new foods. I drink way too much coffee, do way too much laundry, love exercising (but I need to get a few more miles under my belt this year), love sushi & ice cream. I also get the honor to spend time with our girls at home and do crazy fun things with them. I love playing and being outside in the Texas sunshine!

This blog

Is for fun. I love documenting our lives and enjoy sharing our stories with family and friends. It's also a place to be real and wrestle with every day life.

We started blogging when we had our Sweet Pea but we've changed blog sites a couple of times. So, now I'm starting on a clean slate. New stories, new pics, adventures & challenges of just plain every day life.

This is also a place that I hope to bring inspiration, hope and creativity. I love being inspired by others and I hope to bring a little bit of that to the table too.

Thanks for stopping by and checking us out!

{ SIMPLE suMMer snAPShoTs }

He'll be so proud of this year.

We really have a lot of things growing and we can't wait to dig into our first watermelon.

Herbs & vegetables right outside our window...

hmmm

how I love digging in the dirt and watching it all come to fruition over time.

Isn't that beautiful?

I think I got it from him.

Isn't it funny how we watch our parents through life and next thing we know we're imitating certain things we saw & experienced first hand?

He taught me to enjoy the beauty in things that grow; wether it's a flower, a tree or something that tastes yummy from the garden.

He taught me to enjoy being outside no matter what you're doing.

I love that.

I hope I can pass that on to my girls.

What's growing outside in your garden today?
