An Autumn Greeting

"Come," said the Wind to the Leaves one day.

"Come over the meadow and we will play.

Put on your dresses of read and gold.

For summer is gone and the days grow cold."

Me

I'm a girl that loves the little things in life.  I love singing, beauty, art and music. I'm in rock n' roll and produce music festivals and love working from home.  I also love cooking in the kitchen with my sweet guy. We enjoy entertaining and love trying new foods. I drink way too much coffee, do way too much laundry, love exercising (but I need to get a few more miles under my belt this year), love sushi & ice cream. I also get the honor to spend time with our girls at home and do crazy fun things with them. I love playing and being outside in the Texas sunshine!

This blog

Is for fun. I love documenting our lives and enjoy sharing our stories with family and friends. It's also a place to be real and wrestle with every day life.

We started blogging when we had our Sweet Pea but we've changed blog sites a couple of times. So, now I'm starting on a clean slate. New stories, new pics, adventures & challenges of just plain every day life.

This is also a place that I hope to bring inspiration, hope and creativity. I love being inspired by others and I hope to bring a little bit of that to the table too.

Thanks for stopping by and checking us out!

Where have I been? Oh my..so much has been going on and honestly I've not had the energy and strength to sit down and post new pics. How are you? How is your summer? Good? Refreshing? Fast paced or are you taking a more layed back approach? Are you enjoying these unscheduled days?

I've had a few talks with my sweet guy and close friend and I've had to be intentional about slowing down. Yep, that means looking at the calendar and scheduling days of just being here together. Being content. Enjoying the time that is unscheduled and cherishing it. It's been a good eye opener. I'm one that wants to go and do it all and of course I want these little kiddos to have a great summer..so I plan fun things for us which I love but sometimes with the heat I think we all about fall over. :)

So to catch up a little, here are a few of our different

flavOrs of suMMer!

I've been making some mad homemade waffles..A LOT! Gotta share this recipe with you.

Tan already and the barbie? I have no clue where her head was during this picture.

A crisp glass of wine in the backyard on a hot summer evening.

Pushes from Sissy on the swings doesn't get much better. Especially when they're cracking each other up.

and croqouet? when was the last time you played?

These colorful things sit on our kitchen counter, how can you not smile at a rainbow of colors?

A special girls first dance recital.

A first tooth was lost and the first visit from a tooth fairy came to our house!

Play outside in the 105 degree heat or surprise your girls and go see Judy Moody?!

Goggles that truly work and have been a HUGE hit!

Zoggs is the brand and I found them at TJMaxx..go grab a pair! They're awesome.

 Oh yes..I'm crafting.

I've found myself making gifts & conquering some other projects around this nest.

Isn't this bag the cutest?

I think this size might hold my lipsticks and glosses : )

and check out the inside..

It has a home and I'm pretty sure she likes it!

And this little one.

I can't keep up with the amount of clothes and dress up clothes that we go through in one day.

Imaginations are soaring..from thing to another: princesses, Jedi's, Barbie's, playing house or school.

I love the sounds in this house.

--------------

More pics to come soon.

I hope you're capturing your summer

with your camera or your pen & journal,

capture this time.

It's precious

& you

won't get it back.
